Our coffee beginners course teaches you all the fascinating aspects coffee has to offer like:
+ Basic knowledge about the coffee plant and different varieties (Arabica, Robusta,...)
+ Worldwide coffee growing regions and methods for harvesting and processing of coffee after harvest
+ The journey of your coffee from plant to your local roaster
Also we will answer lots of questions people want to know like:
+ Is caffeine really the enemy in your coffee?
+ What has the kind of roasting (industrial vs. long term roasting) to do with the health benefits of coffee and what makes coffee even healthy or unhealthy?
+ What you should definitely look out for when you buy coffee?
+ What's the difference between "specialty coffee" and "industrial coffee"?
A highlight of the course is that we will roast a specialty coffee live on open fire on our hand roaster to get a feel for what happens during the roasting process of coffee.
After that we will taste different high quality coffees according to a professional coffee tasting which is called "Cupping".
Also our barista trainer will show you how a barista performs latte art and how this art is done perfectly.
We invite you to an exiting expedition into the exotic world of coffee.
